Thokar ya Takkar lage to “Bismillah” Kahen

Abu al-Malih reported on the authority of a man: I was riding on a mount behind the prophet (May peace be upon him). It stumbled. Thereupon I said: May the devil perish! He (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: do not say; may the devil perish! For you say that, he will swell so much so that he will be like a house, and say: by my power. But say: in the name of ALLAH; for when you say that, he will diminish so much so that he will be like a fly.

✦Urdu Translation: Aik Sahabi RadiyAllahu Anhu Farmate hain ke Main Nabi Akram Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke piche sawari par sawar tha, Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ki sawari ko Achank thokar lagi to mere muh se nikla: “Shaitan barbad ho.”
RasoolAllah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne Irshad Farmaya: “Shaitan barbad ho” na kaho, is se to Shaitan phool kar bara ho jata hai aur kahta hai: “Meri taqat o Quwwat ki wajah se Aisa hua.” Albatta (Aise moqe par) Agar “Bismillah” kaha jata hai to Shaitan haqeer aur chota ho jata hai, yahan tak ke Makkhi ke barabar rah jata hai.”

Abu al-'As Al-Thaqafi RadiyAllahu Anhu reported that he made a complaint of pain to Allah's Messenger (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) Thereupon Allah's Messenger (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: Place your hand at the place where you feel pain in your body and say BISMILLAH (in the name of ALLAH) three times and seven times A'udhu billahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhadhiru (I seek refuge with ALLAH a nd with His Power from the evil that I find and that I fear).
